As such, the Storage Architectural Lab is expanding the firmware team in San Jose, CA. We have multiple opportunities to utilize your extensive knowledge in the Storage (HDD or SSD) industry to develop high performance Solid State Drives for the Enterprise Market.
 
Tile: Sr. Firmware Engineer (Solid State Drive)  Local Candidates please
Role:
•    Architecting, developing, integrating, and delivering enterprise class solid state disk solutions
•    Ownership of specific functions of the device
•    Writing Firmware code in C & C++
•    Working as part of a world wide team focused on quality, reliability and performance
•    Identifying and implementing development best practices for quality and efficiency
•    Working with major OEM customers to implement functions for customer requirements and resolve customer issues.

 Requirements:
•    Typically requires 10+ years of experience in real-time embedded systems firmware development,  with an emphasis on storage systems. Enterprise experience is considered a +, but not required
•    Experience with SCSI protocols, SAS or FC, either in devices, switches or host systems or similar
•    Strong Storage Architecture knowledge
•    Experience writing in C/C++
•    Experience with ARM or equivalent microprocessors
•    Familiarity and experience with modern development methodologies and practices
•    Experience working with customers to integrate and qualify devices in their systems is a plus
•    MS/BS Degree, or equivalent
